Cats in the Garden

We would recommend filling your borders with as many plants as possible as cats do not like brushing through plants to go to the lavatory.

Try planting rough or coarse plants that will irritate the cats skin.

If a cat does use your garden as a lavatory, try not to clean its mess up every time. It is understandable that you would want to clean it up especially if you have children. However, cleaning up their mess will invite them to use the same spot again as cats love nice, clean areas.

Covering your boarders in bark, a sharp gravel or something similar will deter cats from visiting them as they have sensitive paws.

Placing netting between 1-3 inches high around plants can help to deter cats further.
